Whew, it’s good to be back home, after fifty consecutive days of travel spanning the globe. We departed our flat in London on 15 October and, other than a brief visit to the flat for two nights of laundry and repacking, we’ve been on the road ever since.

Here’s a quick rundown:
- 3 continents, 4 countries: England, Australia, New Zealand, United States.
- all four hemispheres – North and South, East and West.
- 12 flights, including 4 overnight flights.
- 5 rental cars (Boston to Hanover, Asheville to Charleston to Atlanta, Perth, Charleston, Boston to Hanover) and more than 1,000 miles of driving
- 14 beds in 23 locations (cruise ship = 1 bed, 10 nights in 10 locations)
- thus we unpacked 14 times, and repacked 14 times.
- only 1 lost item (MacBook charger brick).
