Solar eclipse 2024

Mud-season eclipse…

We were fortunate to be able to spend the afternoon today visiting some colleagues at a lakeside home in northeastern Vermont – where the skies were clear, the sun was warm, and last week’s snow was quickly thinning. Shortly after 2pm we settled into lawn chairs, pulled out our solar-eclipse safety glasses, and enjoyed watching the moon take over the sun… read on!

Solar eclipse 2024, from northeast Vermont.

I stitched my photos into the timelapse below, and I used another camera to make a timelapse video of the scenery during totality.

Partial eclipse began at 2:15:45pm; totality started at 3:37:21pm and lasted 3 minutes 7 seconds.
The eclipse ended at 4:38pm EDT.

It was rather wet in the field that day!
